Cards For Soldiers - July

I made these for my addition to Cards For Soldiers for the Cricut Website. The theme for the month was Birthday. The set is a cute clear set from InkADinkAdoo. It reads "you are only young once, but you can be immature for a lifetime". I saw it and thought of my brother, and had to get it!!!! The stamps on the background are sticks from StampsbyJudith. (Have I mentioned I love her stamps????)

July SWAP Kids Cards

I wanted to make a hair gel card, but didn't have the right size ziplock baggies to use. I wanted to get them done, so I improvised. I used th Coluzzle to cut the mats, then used a rolling stamp that I had (an old one I got at Michael's)for the fish. The big fish is from Stampin Up, it's from the set called Fishy Friends.

Halloween ATC SWAP

I made these ATCs for my SWAP on Cricut. I think this stamp is cute. I used the Gelly Roll Galaxy Clear pen on the moon. I looked everywhere for bat eyelets, and I am hoping they have them at the CK Convention when I go on Friday, so that I can add them before they go out. Outherwise I do have a bat stamp I can use, by StampsByJudith.

Fall ATC Swap

So I started making ATCS swith the first leaf eyelets, but I ran out of them, so I switched to the second leaf, and they kept breaking, then I took the die cut route for the third leaves. I still like the way all three styles turned out. I will have to look for more of the Maple leaves. I made some of these for my Fallish ATC SWAP on Cricut, and some for the Mystery ATC SWAP on PaperCrafters. I used PopDots on the die cut leaves. And I used the Gelly Roll Galaxy Clear pen to make "Fall" pop and shine.

Flowers Card SWAP

I made these for a flower card SWAp I am in aslo on PaperCrafters site. This one and the 3 below, are all for the same host. I had to make 6 of each. The flower Stamp is another one I borrowed from my friend Latrell. But I have looked at it a few times in the store. I may need to buy it now! The little butterflies are stamped with VersaMark ink, and it is a Stubby from StampsbyJudith. Have i mentioned I love her stamps? This was my first atempt at a Gate fold card. I had to tweek it a little for size, but I like how it turned out. It is definitly a card I will have to play with to get it down!

Fall Leaves Card SWAP

I made these cards for the Fall Leaves SWAP I am in at PaperCrafters. And I have to say, that I am very proud if the way they turned out! I made it up as I went along, and I really like them!! The leaves stamp is by Hero Arts. "Happy Thanksgiving" by Stampin Up. I gave the leaves some shine by using a GellyRoll stardust pen on the edges. I used Mona Lisa brush cleaner to do the "gamsol technique" to color the leaves.
I may be making these up as card candies for another card candy SWAP I am in. I am just so happy with how it turned out!

Thank you cards SWAP

These are the cards I created for a card swap on PaperCrafts' webite. I used a stamp from Stampin' Ups, SideKick Sayings. The background stamp I used is a little star shape from StampsByJudith, it's one of her Sticks stamps. I love those little things! The "Merci" stamp is by Rubber Soul. Thanks for looking!

Summer by The Sea

These cards I used a set of stamps that I borrowed from my friend Latrell. They are Stampin Up's, Sumer by the Sea. I love it! Thge "ribbon" we found at ACMoore, after we had searched forever for something similar to it. I think they turned out cute! I used the Gamsol technique on these!
These are for the Beach Card SWAP on Papercrafters.

Winter Cards SWAP

I made these cards for my Winter card swap on Cardmaker. I used the snowflakes by StampsByJudith, saying is Penny Black, and Tattered Angels Glitter Mist on the background. I like how they turned out. The mists made a plain looking card look even better!

"Gotta Love Spring"

I know this is out of order, but since this is a "My Creations" blog, I wanted to incude the layouts that I did this year. This was the first thing I did at Cricut.com, and the start of my obssession! This one and the "Curls" one, were both done in April 2008.
This is the first Layout that I did for the Out Of Your Comfort Zone Challenge at Cricut.com. you were to list things that you always do, and things you never do on your layouts, and then they gave you a challenge. One of the things that I said I always do, was computer journaling. They got me there, I had to handwrite the journaling. I had to have my title anywhere but the top. I had to include some embelishments. I think I did pretty well. And trust me it was WAY out of my comfort zone!! I did use Glitter Mists on the sides, on the green paper. I am not sure you can tell very well from the picture.

"Curls"

Below is the second Layout that I did for the Out Of Your Comfort Zone Challenge at Cricut. I had to choose a sketch for this one. It was a little more challenging for me, but I like the outcome! And that concludes the Lo's that I have done for the year! :-) Perhaps I will get more done before the end of December!

Hedgie/Penny Black ATC SWAP - August

My friend LKRhodes is doing a monthly SWAP over at Cricut for the Hedgehogs, and Penny Black critters. Well actually she's opened it to all critters. Anyway I made these little frog cuties. The Frog is an Penny Black stamp, the little ice cream stamps are by hero arts, and I painted the frog using watercolor pencils. I though they came out pretty cute. These are actually due in August, I got a little ahead of myself!

Addicted to Cardmaking Monthly SWAP - August

I made these two cards for my SWAP on Cricut. I used the D'Vine Swirls folder by Cuttlebug. the ribbons are from my stash. I think they turned out pretty well. Plain, but elegant still. I made some of them tilted slightly, just to mae it moreinteresting. They are not crooked! :-)

July Monthly Card SWAP

I created this card for CardJunkie's Monthly SWAP. The theme was Green with Glitter.
This was actually my 2nd attempt. The first one I stamped a santa, colored his suit, and then Stickled his beard and mustache. The red ran into the Stickles. Ugh! But these turned out cute I think! The Stamp is Holiday Hedgehogs by Stampin' Up.

It's Official!

I ordered my Kit from Stampin' Up!! I am very excited, not to mention nervous! I hope that I can do well selling it! I know not to expect miracles, but it sure would be great to make money doing something you love to do! I plan on attending as manyof the instructional meetings as David's schedule allows. The first on, I believe is the end of July!

So wish me luck everyone!!

Another Halloween Card SWAP

Yes, you guessed it, another Halloween SWAP!!! I created this one for a SWAP I am in for PaperCrafters site. I only had to make 5 cards for this one! I think they turned out pretty well. I do have to get more saying Stamps though!

Monthly Card Candy SWAP

Here is the Card Candy I made for my Monthly SWAP at Cricut. The theme was summer fun. And I made this card out of the candies. I so scraplifted an idea off a card my niece sent me...thanks S!!! I still need to add a little somthing to it. But my sun eyelets are to small. I'll have to take a look for some at the CK Convention in a few weeks!

Card Candy SWAP

I hosted my first ever Card Candy SWAP over at Cricut.com. The theme was Happy Birthday. To be honest, I had some trouble with this one. I am not sure why, but this is what I finally came up with. And I created a card with a set of them. It turned out pretty good.

Halloween Card SWAP

Here is one of the cards I made when I participated in the "Ghoulish Card SWAP" at Cardmaker.com. I actually took two spots for this SWAP. I had sent the first one in without taking a picture, but I will get it back and I can post the picture then. I had trouble getting a good picture of this one. I guess it's too dark!
