Kids all occasion

I hosted the very first Card swap over on a crafting Message Board. The wonderful Ted opened the Message Board for us all after some things were happening over on that "other" board.
Anyway, the swap went pretty well considering it was fairly new when I opened it. It was a "you Choose" the theme card swap. The theme for this one was "kids all occasion". I used the "Pun Fun" set from Stampin Up. The sentiment says "you're a blast". I colored it ith my AWESOME Stamipn Write Markers. I CASED the layout for this one VERY talented, Kristin Fuller, a fellow Philly Inker.

Just a note

I made this card for the second group on a crafting MB. This one is "Just a Note". You will probably recognize the layout from one of my previous cards. I was stuck in a creative rut when I created these, and went with something simple. I think the papers are from a patterned paper stack. I tied a knot in the twill as a little something extra.

I REALLY need to lean how to take better pictures. That may have to be my goal this summer....

Upsy Daisy Sympathy Card

I cased the basic layout for this card from a card made by the VERY talented Kristin Fuller. Her card is much nicer then mine of course, and she used more layers.

I made this for my August cards, the theme being Get Well/Sympathy. This one was for my Addicted to Carmaking swap I host on my favorite Message board. I used the Faux Embossing technique on this one, using my Upsy Daisy set from Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from Rubber Stampede, it actually reads "With Deepest Sympathy", you just can't see the "with" too well in these pictures (it's up in the flowers) The ribbons are from those big box stores.

All Occasion Masculine Cards

I made these for JeanP's Masculine group on My favorite message board. The theme for this one was any occasion. The sentiment says "Some days you just know.... it is going to be a two cup day!" I chose the paper, because it kind of reminded me of pajamas! LOL. The papers are from an old printed paper stack. I colored the little guy with my Stampin Up Stampin' Write markers.

Masculine Bday Card

This is for the last group of JeanP's Masculine Card swap on my fav MB. This one is for birthday. I used Stampin Up's "sanded" background. I really like this one, it makes really nice cards for guys. It also makes a nice distressed feel to cards. I colored the images with my Stampin' Up markers.

All about me Book

The first page:
The second page:
Here you can see the little cut out items. I had made a boo boo on one of the words, and didn't want to have to go back and totally redo it all, so I made some of them on cut outs and I glued them down. It made it look more like I had planned it.

Here is another one of the challenges for CaitlynsMommy's All about me book Challenge on my favorite MB. I had actually seen this on an advertisment at my sister, Ginnese's house when we were there in April. I started working on it there. Crystal (CaitlynsMommy) asked for suggestions for Challenges. I suggested this one, which I was very happy she chose. Again I made one for both of the kids, these are pretty much the same though. I am proud of myself, 4 2 page layouts in one day! (These were done hours ago, but I got sidetracked playing one of my favorite PC games on the computer :) But since it is 3:33 AM now, it is time for bed!)

All about me Book

Page 2 of Cheyenne's Layout:
Page 1 of Cheyenne's Layout:

The whole layout (Cameron's):

I joined an "All about me Book" challenge on my favorite MB, hosted by my friend CaitlynsMommy (HI Crystal). She posts a challenge for us and then we have to go ahead and make a Layout for the challenge. I decided to make two of these books one for both of the kids. I haven't really scrapped for Cameron and I don't have much for Cheyenne done. am not the best scrapper, which makes it a challenge. This challenge was:
1. The first challenge will be to do a two page spread about being a mom (to kids, to family, to fur babies, past present) If you are not a mom, document YOUR MOM or someone that is LIKE a mom to you! Your choice on colors and embellishments, but you MUST have at least FIVE SENTENCES of journaling somewhere!!!!
I didn't really add embelishments. I always find that the hardest part.
The little pictures are of me when I was little.
(PS It posted the opposite of the way the pages go, but I am not messing with it!)

Soft Summer card

I made this card for a swap with the PhillyInkers group. I tried to take a picture with natural light, so I propped it in one of the trees that line my driveway. (which I always end up backing up into when I back up in the drive! )
I used the Soft Summer stamp set by Stampin Up for the flower. I stampd it on Very Vanilla cardstock with my StazOn ink. Then I used sponges to first sponge on some Pretty In Pink all over, and then sponged on Pixie Pink along the edges. Then I used my Stampin Write markers to color the image. I used the ticket corner punch for the corners of the Very Vanilla Piece. Adhered that to Pixie Pink, then onto Pretty in Pink. The sentiment is from Heard from the Heart also by Stampin Up.

Shoebox swap

So I had a very creative weekend last weekend! David was off and he let me veg out in the
craft room. Wasn't that nice??? I had the chance to catch up on some swaps I have due over the next few months. I made this one for a Swap with the PhillyInkers SU group that I am a memeber of. Ineeded to make a card for a shoebox swap. The picture doesn't do it much justice though. The background is a background stamp from Stampin' Up called Pretty Petals. The sentiment is from a hostess set called Echos of Kindness. I stamped it in Real Red classic ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I then distressed the edges a little with the Real Red stamp pad. The Sentiment is stamped on Pretty in Pink cardstock, adhered to Real Red cardstock. I tied it up with a Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, and adhered it to a Real Red card.
I need to find a better way to take pictures!

Happy Birthday card

I made this card for my niece. She probably thinks I am a goof ball though as she celebrated her 13th. It is a little young for her maybe. I guess I will have to get some more teenage stamps! I did really like how it cam out though, so some of you may see it in a swap! I made some with a thinking of you stamped sentiment in the place of the Happy Birthday. I ran out of yellow though, so there will be some using green where this one uses yellow.

Card Fronts - Floral

I made the Brown with buttons cards(seen below) first, but as usual I had the design stuck in my head when I made these. Same layout, different colors. These are for my Card Fronts swap on my fav MB. The theme for this one is Floral.

Brown with buttons

Another card from last weekend's creative run...

This one I made for CardJunkie's swap on my fav MB. The theme for this one was Brown with Buttons. I don't have a lot of brown so this one was a bit hard for me. But this is what I came up with, I should have made the buttons all go the same way. Oops! I really like this saying, and hope someone will like the cards!

Peach with Piercing

Another card I madelast weekend. I created this card for CardJunkie's Monthly card swap on my fav MB. For the piercing in the corners I used Stampin Up's Mat Pack. This is a super easy way to line up piercing PERFECTLY! The flower and sentiment are from the Hostess set "Echos of Kindness" from the Spring/Summer catalog. I colored it with my Stampin' Write markers. This one isn't actually adhered down yet. I was getting impatient and wanted to take pictures so I could get them posted here. (only took me almost a week!)

Get Well Card front

I made these last weekend for my Card Fronts swap that I am hosting on my fav MB. The theme for this one is Get well/Sympathy. I used a Versamark stamp pad for this one. (LOVE IT!!!) Someone from one of my swaps (hi Jean!!!) used this sentiment stamp and I knew I needed to get it also!

Thanks Card Front

This is the last of the cards from last weekend. These I made for my Card Fronts Swap on Cricut.com. The theme for this one is Thank you. I used my new Eyelet punch from Stampin Up. The flowers are from a hostess level 3 set called "goody Goody Gum Drops". This is a very versitile set! I colored the image with my Stampin Up Stampn write markers! I made soem in red, and also some in yellow. Mostly because I ran out of yellow cardstock! The center of the flowers are done in Stickles.
